Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. She's recorded a variety of well-known songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being awed by the sound it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to play music only to have fun or as a means of growth but rather, she must take it seriously. Her parents advised her to compose. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite composers. Responding to her mother's suggestions that people shouldn't be trying to become famous with their songwriting skills, she instead recognize the significance of their lives and the impact they have on society. When she began playing the piano, she was just six and was writing her first song when she was nine. The family did not be aware of this until she was fourteen. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. She just loves to write songs. She believes that music is the only method to experience anything.
